Surfside was founded on May 18, 1935, and is a town located within Miami-Dade County. It was incorporated due to the signatures of 35 members of the Surf Club. Members of this club included Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Ava Gardner, Winston Churchill, Elizabeth Taylor, and many more.
